Headache Medicine

Headache Medicine at the University of Arizona Department of Neurology includes a comprehensive outpatient program, available inpatient treatment for management of prolonged episodes of headache. Dr. John LaWall, the medical director, is certified in the subspecialty of headache medicine. Dr. Miguel Estevez is experienced in basic and clinical research pertaining to headache, as well as patient care. Headache fellowship is available. An interdisciplinary approach is used with physical therapy, clinical pharmacy, pain management, and professionals from a variety of other disciplines available for consultation and patient care. The Department of Neurology headache physicians are members of the American Headache Society.
