Provide a structured, integrative course of instruction in clinical neurology and related aspects of clinical neuroscience for medical students and residents. Provide sub-specialty training and research opportunities for fellows. Provide continuing medical education to healthcare professionals, as well as education to the lay public, on neurological diseases.
Provide comprehensive, state of the art diagnostic and treatment services, and continuing care, for patients with neurological disorders.
To conduct basic and clinical research that will advance knowledge about the causes and treatments of neurological disorders.
To be available as a resource for academic, educational, administrative, and legislative purposes in support of the University, COM UMC, as well as the community, state and national organizations.
To develop new and effective approaches for healthcare delivery including diagnosis, treatment and prevention of neurological disorders and stroke.
